October is the month we collect new white socks for Operation NightWatch, a ministry to the homeless in downtown Seattle. They invite us to “Make a difference in the life of a homeless person by collecting socks for us to distribute through our late-night homeless program. Comfort tired feet. Lift weary spirits. Give someone hope. Start collecting men’s athletic socks for our homeless friends and neighbors. Socks won’t solve our community’s homeless crisis. But socks can help to keep homeless people hopeful, knowing there are neighbors like you, who care about their situation.” They are having an Open House on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 1:30-3:00PM at 302 14th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144.
